Now more than ever community spirit is thriving up and down the country during these difficult times, whether that’s online or on the streets helping those in need. At Crystal Clear Bristol, we take great pride in donating to local charities and community interest companies as part of our corporate social responsibility within our area.
Therefore, we are pleased to announce that during this challenging climate we are supporting the community interest company Community of Purpose. Crystal Clear Bristol has over 100 years’ joint experience in the supply and installation of windows, doors and roof lights and has previously raised funds for MacMillan Cancer Support. Now we are opening new doors to help more people in need.
The aim of Community of Purpose is to “act as a link between communities and a range of local authority and voluntary organisations to develop activities and services to generate aspiration, confidence and address inequalities”.
This year Community of Purpose launched its 20/20 Challenge, which invited 20 local businesses in the Bristol area to donate £1,000 each towards the cost of a new vehicle which will be used for two of their three main strands. One of which is the Break Free initiative which delivers free activities in the form of a mobile sports village to some of the poorest areas in South Bristol. The other is the Bristol Together Championships which utilises the power of sports to break down the boundaries of race, class, faith and geography. By collaborating together to raise £20,000 not only brings the business community together but is also a huge push forward for Community of Purpose.
Crystal Clear Bristol is one of a select few businesses to be part of this special 20/20 Challenge campaign. The money donated will change the lives of those on our doorstep. Although the end goal isn’t possible at the moment with the current situation, Community of Purpose will be able to utilise the van for its future projects for years to come.
During this climate where businesses are looking after their bottom line, it’s key to do our bit – no matter how big or small – to help charities that are close to our heart. At Crystal Clear Bristol we hope that we are doing something truly positive to serve our local community.
