Building Regulations Certificate

Information about our Building Regulations Certificate

Since April 2002, it has been mandatory that all replacement glazing in homes in the UK has to conform to the relevant current Building Regulations. Anyone who installs replacement windows or doors has to certify compliance with these Regulations.

When having windows and doors replaced homeowners should ensure they obtain a Certificate of Compliance.

At the moment Conservatories do not require a Certificate of Compliance.

All DGCOS Members must comply with Building Regulations

All DGCOS Members must comply with relevant Building Regulations on all qualifying installations either by Self Certification or directly via Building Control. After completion of any qualifying works, the customer will be issued with a Certificate of Compliance which should be kept with all the legal documents relating to the property. This could be needed later should you wish to sell your house.
